Privacy policy
Last updated: 11 July 2026
Lugha has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no
tracking of any kind. Your learning stays on your phone unless you choose to
join a group.
On your device
- No account. The app has no sign-up, login, or user identifiers.
- Your progress stays local. Vocabulary progress, memorisation progress,
dhikr counts, and settings are stored only in the app's local storage on your
device. Deleting the app deletes them.
- Recitation audio is downloaded from everyayah.com when you play or
download a surah. Like any web request, that server sees your IP address.
If you join a group
Groups (shared salawat trees and word-progress leaderboards) are optional. If
you create or join one, we store on our server:
- the name you enter (any name — it does not have to be your real one),
- your daily salawat counts, and
- your vocabulary totals (how many words you have met and mastered — never
which words, never any content you wrote).
Every member of your group can see these — that is the point of a group. There is
no email, no password, and no way for us to link a membership to you beyond the name
you chose. Leaving a group (or asking us) removes your data from it.
If you contact us
The contact form on this site emails us the name, email address, and message you
submit, so we can reply. It is not stored on our server, nothing else is collected,
and it is never shared.
